There is a Twilight Zone episode entitled ‘To Serve Man’ (Its also a short story by Damon Knight) where tall aliens (that look like Richard Kiel aka JawZ) come to Earth and supply limitless clean energy, eradicate diseases, teach how to grow more food to supply the worlds needs, machinery that blocks explosions to curb wars and research on medications to extend life.
Theyre also going to take some people to their planet on a 10 year exchange program. Some UN Translators get ahold of an alien book and after 6 months or so translate the title, ‘To Serve Man’. The urgency to translate the book wanes and the day of the departure of the aliens the translators figure out that its a cookbook.
Since we leak TV signals into space any aliens out there might have gotten that episode, and will avoid us thinking us barbaric and gauche for thinking Aliens would eat Humans.
