Decent narrative, but is paced pretty slowly.

Great film overall. Loved the intro scene over the mountains. Excellent dragon render. Great costuming, casting, props, acting, and script. My only main problem with the film is it’s one of those films in a small set location and limited cast. Beyond that it was well done. Showed things from a dwarf point of view nicely done.

Does what it can with limited sets. The performances are quite good.
Is unfortunately hampered by a script that doesn’t seem to know where to go. The ending feels unearned, less like something the story was building to and more like the filmmakers threw up their hands and hastily threw it together.
The opening is bizarrely incongruent, the CGI dragon is jarringly bad when compared to the otherwise disciplined use of practical set and character design in the rest of the movie, and also has no bearing on the story. It feels like it was only included so they could put a dragon on the cover.
